Glauca G1, evolution of the Glauca model, is equipped with specific features designed specifically for the renowned GSG9 department, a special unit of the Bundespolizei, which officially adopted it. The handle, in anodized anticorodal aluminum with a tactical mud colour, is equipped with a rear tungsten carbide glass breaker. The clip is adjustable in three different positions (one of which is frontal). On the back there is a stainless steel knot unwinder which can be locked in the open position and a foldable rescue tool which allows the operator to make a quick emergency cut to free any injured person from their clothing. This second tool is also excellent for use as a belt cutter.
The blade locking system is the tested LINER-LOCK to which is added a second safety mechanism to be operated manually. The drop-point blade is made of Böhler N690 steel hardened to 58 HRC with the classic Extrema Ratio MIL-C-13924 black finish.
