ERMES is a commemorative knife developed in collaboration with the Helicopter Regiment for Special Operations (R.E.O.S.), which is part of the Italian Army's aviation command. The R.E.O.S. is an operational unit of special forces support helicopters composed of specifically trained personnel who are trained and equipped to support military activities in every operational context.
The stylized guards of the knife represent the wings present in the heraldic coat of arms of the regiment. It is available in two versions: 'ERMES ORDINANZA' with a satin blade and an ABS case, and 'ERMES OPERATIONAL' with a burnished blade.
The steel used is the reliable Bohler N690Co, heat-treated to 58 HRC. The glass fiber-reinforced polyamide FRN (Fiber Reinforced Nylon) polymer was chosen for the handle. The Kydex and woven hybrid sheath is equipped with a belt or belt fastening with a MOLLE interface system.
