The knife features a folding blade with a length of 86 mm, made of American CPM-S30V stainless steel. This powder steel from Crucible Industries is hardened to an optimum hardness of 58-60 HRC, which allows it to retain its edge for a long time, provides adequate mechanical strength, and is extremely resistant to corrosion. These properties make the Benchmade Mini Crooked River Whitetail an ideal companion for hunters.
Thanks to the high content of vanadium carbides, the steel has high impact strength, abrasion resistance, and excellent cutting properties. However, due to the steel's high hardening, it is recommended to use diamond sharpening stones for sharpening, as standard ceramic whetstones may be less efficient.
The slender blade with a flat cut has a rounded belly, combined with the useful clip-point profile, which provides excellent cutting parameters and high resistance to damage. The Benchmade Mini Crooked River Whitetail is suitable for skinning, field work, and everyday use. With a hard blade thickness of 2.9 mm, the knife can also be used for other outdoor applications such as bushcraft and survival.
The blade can be quickly unfolded with one hand, using a double-sided pin. The use of a brass collar under the pivot and phosphor bronze washers ensure that the blade works smoothly and dynamically.
