The Protector®, officially selected by the ALAT (Aviation Légère Armée Terre), is used by French combat helicopter flight crews. Philippe Perotti made the first sketches of this dagger which has a symmetrical double-edged blade (smooth & tightening). Its sharp and penetrating blade should allow a pilot to free himself very quickly in an emergency situation. Its blade effectively cuts through thick straps or cables (clamps) and its penetrating ability also allows it to work wonders in multiple situations.

The Protector's® Story
Protecteur®, officially selected by the ALAT (Aviation Légère Armée Terre), is used by French combat helicopter flight crews to extricate themselves in the event of an emergency. The blade (with a formidable double razor edge) is overmolded in a handle that is not electrically conductive and strong enough to break windows and windshields.
Protector® comes in a very nice carrying box and with a directly custom formed Kydex case.
The blade
This dagger features a symmetrical double-edged blade (smooth & tighten). Its sharp and penetrating blade should allow a pilot to free himself very quickly in an emergency situation. It effectively cuts thick straps or cables (clamps) and its penetration capacity also allows it to work wonders in multiple situations.
Protector® is a backup knife for multi-function use. Its small size allows it to be worn in multiple configurations: arms, boot, belt, etc.
Made of MOX® stainless steel, Protecteur® has excellent corrosion resistance, which is essential in a marine environment. Its black PVD coating further enhances this protection.
Consisting of a full tang blade overmolded in fiberglass-filled polymer, its resistance is foolproof. The black colour retained on all the components contributes to the reduction of the visual signature while giving it an aggressive aesthetic.
Protecteur® also features an effective safety guard whether in use with bare hands or with gloves. The handle, made of fiber-optic material, provides excellent insulation. Its high impact resistance and diamond point back shape make it an excellent window breaker.
