The project of this military knife, sponsored by the COFS (Special Forces Operational Command) in the person of General Bertolini, had already been suggested by some collectors of vintage sidearms. The restyling of the famous "attacker paratrooper dagger mod. 1939”, constitutes an important piece of Italian military history. The knife, while borrowing the line, structure and proportions from the original, has been strengthened, enriched with functional modifications and made with materials meeting modern military specifications. The result of these few modifications is an extremely functional and effective dagger. The sheath is ankle-sized to be worn as Italian paratroopers usually carry the bayonet. The 39-09 SPECIAL EDITION version, numbered but not limited edition, is the satin version with wooden handle, COFS logo and motto, parade scabbard, display box in black lacquered wood.
