The Unboxer® Story
The Unboxer® knife was born from a simple idea. Create a closing, light, very flat knife so that it is discreet, really efficient, mechanical and clever. It is a real tool that quickly becomes addictive to use and whose design is in direct continuity with other TB Outdoor products. The manufacture of the Unboxer® is 100% French, carried out by a motivated team proud of their company's products.
The unique way the UNBOXER® works is the innovative design of its blade. The intricate cutting of the blade heel, combined with the precise positioning of a fixed pin, ensures the function of the missing spring. In the closed position, the blade is held firmly in the handle to ensure maximum safety. In the open position, the blade is locked by an integrated forced detent system. Since the blade is not locked, it closes simply by applying pressure as when using a conventional pocket knife. This mechanism makes it possible to do without the side plates and the spring. The substantial weight saving saves more than a third of the total weight of the same product in a conventional design. It took a lot of testing and validation to get it to work optimally.
Mr. Yves NEVEUX is well known to pocket knife enthusiasts for the ingenuity of his mechanisms and is at the origin of this reflection. He was actively involved in the development of the UNBOXER® and its fine-tuning. The resistance of the mechanics has been tested in real conditions and in the laboratory. We have tested the opening and closing of the blade on a test bench more than 100,000 times. After this test and days of patience, we found that the knife worked just as well as when it was first opened. The UNBOXER® is built to last!
The choice of materials, one of the keys to the success of the UNBOXER®. First of all, the blade is made of high-performance stainless steel. Nitrox® is a so-called "nitrogen-doped" steel. The introduction of nitrogen during its formulation makes it possible to replace part of the carbon for better corrosion resistance while maintaining very high cutting capacities. The handle is made of polymer filled with injected glass fibers. The very high resistance of this material allows the knife to maintain a secure rigidity on all occasions. All the screws have been made of stainless steel by TB OUTDOOR specifically for this knife.

Another innovation of Unboxer® is its removable clip, which can be installed or removed without the help of tools. A simple press between the thumb and index finger allows it to be positioned on the right or left side of the handle, depending on your preference.
In addition, Unboxer® is equipped with a clamping system at the blade axis. The screw on the blade shaft allows you to adjust the force needed to open and close the blade. Thanks to the anti-rotation screw housed in the detents of the axle, your adjustment will remain constant over time.

Everyone expects something different from how it works. Some want a flexible opening and prefer a very free blade in its housing. Others, on the other hand, want a harder pivot that conveys a feeling of control and security. With the UNBOXER®, the choice is yours. The blade axis is adjustable with great finesse. Adjust the clamping force to your wishes. Simply unscrew the locking screw, adjust the force you want on the blade axis by screwing/unscrewing the clamping wheel and replace the locking screw. Nothing could be simpler!
Its ergonomics
We have given the UNBOXER® the ability to open with one hand. What's more, the knife is ambidextrous. The lugs are cleverly positioned on the top of the blade to allow this opening in the simplest way possible.
The cutting edge, which measures only 4 microns, will allow you to carry out all everyday tasks (opening boxes, hence the name UNBOXER®, DIY, picnic) or more demanding tasks.
