ESOLZA, a term of ancient origin, is today one of the most famous traditional knives in our country. The name unsurprisingly suggests a razor. It was born in Sardinia centuries ago and has accompanied its inhabitants in their daily work of peasant life and pastoralism, and even in times of war. The chronicles of the Sassari Brigade during the First World War mention this knife among the equipment of its soldiers. We wanted to pay tribute to it by revisiting it according to our standards, without disrespecting the prestigious Sardinian artisans who still pass on the tradition and wisdom of their ancestors.
The dimensions and proportions, with a 10 cm blade, remain faithful to the original, while the materials and technologies are those of our production. The handle has been revised in our style, while the blade retains most of the traditional design, with the addition of a blade block for safety during opening.
