The Cojang Jungle Machete is the result of Joe Flowers' research into Sumatran designs. Fascinated by Klewang and Cojang-style swords and tools, he eventually located a replica from a rare antique dealer in San Francisco. Originally designed as a full tang version from the turn of the century, this machete now offers exceptional functionality in a lightweight package.
Field testing yielded excellent results, and the Cojang Jungle Machete boasts a 6 mm tapered blade, 530 mm in length, thinning down to just under 2 mm at the tip, thanks to a significant distal taper, making it extremely lightweight. Instead of the traditional Horn-style blade, Condor opted for a full tang handle, preserving the classic design while incorporating an exposed lanyard attachment point at the end of the handle to honor the aesthetic tradition of this legendary blade.
