The knife features a folding blade with a length of 86mm, crafted from American CPM-S30V stainless steel. S30V is a powder steel produced by Crucible Industries that is hardened to an optimal hardness of 58-60 HRC, allowing it to retain its edge for extended periods, possess adequate mechanical strength, and exhibit high resistance to corrosion. These properties make the Benchmade Mini Crooked River Mallard an excellent companion for hunters.

The steel's high vanadium carbide content gives it exceptional impact strength and abrasion resistance, as well as superior cutting properties.
